Homemade Cashew Butter

Many store bought nut butters contain unwanted ingredients and preservatives. Make your own 2-ingredient nut butter at home for an easy, nutritious, and creamy treat!

  • 2 cups nuts of your choosing (almond, cashew, peanut)
  • Salt to taste


  1. Pour 2 cups of your desired nuts into a blender or food processor. 

  2. Blend on high for 8-10 minutes or until desired consistency, scraping the sides with a spatula as needed. Avoid adding and liquid or oil as this can negatively affect the texture. 

  3. Nuts should be a creamy consistency. Add salt to taste.

  4. Store in a covered container for up to 2 weeks. (May last longer if stored in a refrigerator). 

Recipe Notes

**Many people prefer the taste of roasted nuts in a nut butter. If you would like to roast your own nuts, simply place the nuts on a cookie sheet and bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
